We were commissioned by Waste Watch to work with several London Schools to create an exhibition to be displayed in Borough Shopping Centres to promote recycling. Our finished pieces of art were billboard sized displays showing the four key recycleable waste products.
The children involved helped to create the colour and texture work using the actual waste products themselves- The images below show them using cardboard to print colour onto the box board and plastic botles to roll paint onto the display.
The phrase "Thumbs up for recycling" was printed into the blank space on each board using thumb prints from the general public as they visited the display.
The workshops were devised in partnership with Waste Watch to fullfill their aims for the project, we are happy to work to your guidelines and create a unique event or piece of art.
